Was playing on an AMd 3700 (single core) with 1gig of ram and a 6800gt. Got about 30-40 fps on average from that with every setting turned off which, while playable, could be pretty frustrating at times. Just upgraded to a E7200 though with 2 gigs of ram and an ATI 3650, which has made a hell of a difference. Its alot easier now to stay alive in those big firefights and to hit some of the tougher shots, like mid air rockets.
Thinking about trying to send to graphics card back next week though, as havent been impressed with that.

I no this is a relatively old topic, but hey. Considering the problems that some of you had, im amazed my pc can even run the game (having said that atm, mid-game at random intervals, the pc powers off completely, need to unplug for a bit to restart
).
I got:
AMD Athlon (tm) 64 Processor 3200+ (2.00GHz)
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT
512MB RAM
150GB Hard drive (almost full)
Windows XP Home Premium
Creative Inspire P580 speaker system (should be surround but 1 speaker dont work)
Think thats about it, im prity useless when it comes to hardware knowledge, took me ages to find all that lot, not sure where i should have looked, ended up going through system device manager. I will be getting a new laptop soon, so maybe i can take all those video settings off minimum.
P.S. now you know y i lag.

My PC is working again! Roar!
Core 2 Duo E7200 (@ 2.53GHz, 1066MHz FSB)
Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 motherboard
ATI Radeon x1650 Pro AGP 256mb
2GB Crucial DDR2 Memory (PC5300)
80GB Maxtor SATA2 hard disk
XP Home, Service Pack 3.
Everything running at recommended speeds, no overclocking here. Had some hassles with the Realtek HD Audio and ATI graphics drivers that crashed TF2, but after a lot of work everything's running fine for hours now. Unlike Mailman, CityLink never quite deliver the goods - it was a nightmare arriving but I'm thankful it got here in the end.
TF2 (and the other games I've tried so far) look amazing. Shiny. Shiny shiny.
Cheers,
Tom

64 bit Vista home premium
Q9450 Intel CPU
4GB DDR3 Corsair RAM
Sapphire 4870 ATI Graphics card
Asus Maximus X38 DDR3 motherboard
It runs Crysis with everything high and 1280x1024 resolution at around 60 fps. TF2 same resolution with everything high at around 120 fps.

Ok, this is my new computer, I got it two days ago!
Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit (I already don't like it...
)
CPU: intel core 2 DUO E8500 @ 3,17GHz
Hard drive: Seagate 500GB
Graphic card (ATI): VGA sapphire HD4870 512MB
Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3
4GB RAM
I can't find words to describe how awesome is this thing, compared to my old computer. Ok, I knew gameplay wasn't as smooth as it should be, but when I first ran TF2 on this new beast I was immensely surprised, because things were -so much faster-.
The graphic is eyeball-popping, the speed is leg breaking and I'm crying every time I turn it on.
To quote heavy weapons guy: "I AM VERY HAPPY!"
