Re: My new PC (big help needed)
I expect a shitstorm of rig tips and build advice and there is nothing wrong with that.
You can always browse the web for system guides of popular websites, like this here: System Guide
Most of these guides work with different budgets and different needs so they might be good for a start.
or
You can get tips and ideas from other peoples builds: buildapc

Re: My new PC (big help needed)
what monitor size u looking for and what panel i guess if you photo editing you need ips panel ? then when we establish the monitor see whats left over for pc parts.
edit : Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" Widescreen LED Monitor around 200~230 £
Iiyama Prolite X2377HDS 23" Premium IPS Panel Widescreen LED Monitor 140£ ~ 150 £
120hz tn panels can have good colors to , but maybe not as pro good as ips dell ones .
Samsung S23A700D 23" 120Hz 3D Widescreen Gaming Monitor around 200 £ could be found for less.
edit: will you be overclocking now or in future or at all ?

Re: My new PC (big help needed)
I'd personally do the opposite of aras (lol) and concentrate on the main PC components and get the monitor with what's left. I do a lot of photo editing and although an IPS monitor is nice for the better colours, a standard and much cheaper LED backlit monitor will do just fine unless your photo editing is your job.
My first question is does that budget include a new OS? if yes then £800 is gonna be tight to build something half decent (especially for gaming)
For a decent CPU you need at least £150. You need around £100 for a motherboard. HDD prices are coming back down slowly now so you can get a 2TB drive for £80 easily but you won't be able to afford a SSD. Ram is cheap at around £30-50 for 8GB. Don't skimp on the PSU, nothing cheaper than £50 or you're regret it!
-Get 8GB ram as I always found myself running out while editing with just 4GB. (1600MHz stuff should be just fine)
-CPU, well an i5 sandy bridge would be my recommendation.
-Asus makes the best motherboards but anything with an z68 and z77 should be just fine if you get a sandybridge CPU (z77 is more future proof)
-Budget £20-£40 for a decent CPU cooler. The 'Artic cooling Freezer 7 pro rev.2' is the best low budget CPU cooler around and only £20 but it won't allow you todo much overclocking if you're into that.
-The best budget case I know of is the Antec 300, at just £40 it's a steal and I still have mine which keeps my overclocked SLI setup cool enough.
SO that all adds upto around £500-£550 without a graphics card. Which leaves only £250 to £300 for the graphics card, a monitor and an OS (if you need that too) (
if you need an OS you want win7pro 64bit (not 32bit as that'll be useless)
If you can get all the core components for under £500 (but that's really cutting corners) you can get the OS, monitor and an 'ok' graphics card within the £800 budget but that is still leaving the mouse and keyboard out.
Sorry I'm not much more use as I'm awful for sticking to budgets.
This 'link' is great for helping you to pick out a budget graphics card
and you can look up almost any card 'here' to see how it compares against other graphics cards on the market.

the ips monitor is out of question, i need it

Nope (i forgot to tell, sorry)
Thanks for the rest, and thanks to aras and hesi too, of course.
please give me, if you have the time and the patience, the exact name of every single piece you recommend me, as aras did, or i'll get confused
the 800 £ budged can be stretched a bit if needed

Re: My new PC (big help needed)
well u can skimp and get less expensive monitor apart from that cant skimp anything else much, still needs keyboard and mouse but that you can get your self, i assumed u had dvd-rw or don't use it.
7850 best bang for a buck card atm out there and clocks like hell can even max even bf3 when clocked on 1080p so great card.
Re: My new PC (big help needed)
pretty much exactly what Aras picked and I agree don't try to skimp on anything else especially the PSU.
That Asus IPS is a decent price and should give you slightly better colour reproduction than a standard TN panel, however if you're not a professional photographer you don't need it but I understand if you want it, after all I want one myself just for a 2nd monitor.
If you get everything aras has listed you should be a very happy chap, although if you edit a lot of photos and have a lot of games I'd grab a 2TB drive to be sure. I find that every 10k raw pictures takes up around 100GB and I'm a sucker for steam sales so I went over 1TB of data a long time ago
Have fun building and make sure you post back any other questions.

Re: My new PC (big help needed)
thanks guy, I really appreciate it.
i'll go with everything aras has listed. last thing: i think i'll take a Razer Deathadder too, but i'm more uncertain about the keyboard; i found a good offer for a Logitech G110, is it good? any other suggestions?
thank you again

Re: My new PC (big help needed)
SSDs are great, and prices are pretty low atm, around £90 for 120 or 128GB is a bargain for the performance, but you'll have to say bye bye to your budget However at a glance the Samsung ones are overpriced for their inferior performance, get something like a Corsair Force or OCZ.
get one, put your OS on it and any software like photoshop. You won't regret it!

I said bye bye to my budget 2 or 3 days ago
Thanks for the help guys, i'll go for a Corsair CSSD-F120GBGT-BK Force GT 120GB Corsair 2.5" Solid State Disk Drive (SSD) SATA3 then.
Can i get something cheaper istead of the Seagate Barracuda or it's better if i stay with it even if i buy a ssd?
