Is there any chance of implementing some form of cap for the amount of snipers on a team? I'm getting quite pi$$ed off when I'm on Blu on Dustbowl or Gravel Pit or Goldrush, and find out we have 4 snipers..... yep, getting to be a regular occurance recently Sad

Hehe yeah that can suck at times, people doesn't seem to understand (or care) that too many of any class (except soldiers) just makes the team weaker.

Then again game doesn't have class limits, and I would hate to get on a server and feel like playing Sniper only to not be able to since it caps at 3. (Not that I would play it if 3 of them were already present)

So I would have to say no to the idea even though I do understand the reason for it.

i totally agree, snipers are a good class for killing the enemy, but i've seen too many times, 4-5 snipers on one team, the rest of the team dont have the nouse about them to puch the cart or whatever, and the snipers all have 30-40 more points than everyone else... headshot headshot headshot....

I agree. 3 is the absolute max there should be. Same for spies, I'd even cap that at 2.

limit on sentry guns i suggest. you still can be additional engies to help other's build or just build tp and dispenser. 4 well positioned sentries on any map can ruin the fun quickly.

Lol you all sounding like moany CSS players. It's always been the same with the awp on CSS.
TF2 is so much fun !!! and TF2 players are so much more cheerful and friendly. Very Happy

Nah, 4 sgs can be taken out with 2 ubers no problem.

Engis and pyros have a use. Multiple snipers and spies really don't add anything.

i played css the other day, took me about 15 mins to realise why i stopped...... why is it that 80% of CSS players are so far up their own asses they cause a temporary black hole and implde into nothing?

nahhhm a limit on engies sounds awful, if the atacking team is good a couple demos or ubers (or both) can take out loads of SGs in on gooo, I love being engy and I'd hate not to be able to build my sentries Sad

Blast, I can't help but feel this post was made in the spirit of self-interest - you're far too good at spying already Wink

I've also thought about class limits before, but really a bit of chat ingame works more wonders. Just politely ask a few players to drop out of the sniping rat-race and become something more useful.

I've also seen games with crazy numbers of snipers - including one particularly wack game on 2fort where we had four snipers and NO engineers. The scouts just came through the sewers and took our intel every 90 seconds (slaps own forehead).

The only class limit idea I came up with and quite liked was "You only live twice". Anyone can be a Spy anytime, but after two deaths as Spy you have to play something else for the rest of the game. Good spies would be mostly unaffected, bad spies would be no more. Joke Spy-rushes are also still possible. Needs a plugin written Very Happy

you got it wrong tomfin; i died at least 3 times more because of pyro teammates than roasted by the enemy
i ought to make a video portraying the pyro stupidity i have to endure every day Mad
