I think 5 CP maps are awesome, but I think people do not like them because when you are on the losing team it will be way more obvious you are losing than on goldrush.
Some people do not seem to like to get this presented in their face, because there is no excuse since the map is symmetrical.
I don't mind playing on the losing team, but others definitely seem to care about it.
Anyone else thinks this might be the main reason for playing Goldbowl Basin all over again with an occasional gravelpit? |

Could well be, I've never thought of it like that. It's a lot easier to blame losing on the map if the other team appears to have an advantage. (However, symmetrical 5-CP maps also have less replayability, as playing red is the same as playing blue - just another reason why people may like them less). |

In GoldBowl Basin Maps, if you are in the bad team and someone of your team has a lucky strike (for example, he kills 4 people with a crit sticky), you can push the kart/control the last point without too much sacrifice.
But in 5CP maps, if that happens, all you will be able to control the next point (normally, the second, because you will remain in the last point many times) but then that CP will be "recontrolled" by the other team and you will stay again at the last point, until you have sudden death (in fastlane is very usual, and don't say "no"). Because of that, 5CP maps are boring and crits are a good way to finish and decide some maps (remember that luck is something that exists in real life, and being lucky can be a feature of a player). |

The reason:-
Goldrush, Badwaters and dustbowl are the most entertaining maps and people lack imagination when they vote. That is all. |

I don't like 5 cp maps because they drag on and on, and games can get ridiculously stale. |

Personally I love it when they "drag" on and on. Also I love sudden death. It's just so different from arena. |
