Due to the lack inactivity for the spreadsheet (I totally understand) i provided a list of people who wants to play some MvM. I'm not starting it again, because it took a lot of time and effort. Just hit some of these guys up if you want to play.
Enjoy!

For last couple of weeks I've been thinking about asking you guys about MvM. Probably some of you played it, some of you don't.
We mostly play with random strangers and i want to try to bring this community to play with each other, which probably feels a lot better and more enjoyable. We benefit from it also i think. I've a lot of squad surplus vouchers lying around and i dont want to give them to random strangers and more to you guys.
Are there any people interested playing MvM which each other? And with me also, that's the big question ofcourse!
Some of you don't have the Tour Tickets. I'm willing to donate to some of you guys and maybe some other players as well or trade for scrap, whatever. We can work things out.
But for now i want to ask for your opinions!
If you are interested in joining keep an eye out on this Google spreadsheet, you can add me on Steam or leave a message on the forums. I'll add your name to the list!
I've no other options of asking all off you guys at the same time and asking every single one of you is taking a shit ton of time. SO this is probably a good way to keeping track of you guys if you want to play. It doesnt take a lot of your time, but it will help the rest of the entries as well if i, for example, can't organize a match that night.
Others will organize a match much easier with the spreadsheet.
- Guides to MvM
These guides i found randomly on the internet, first and foremost on the google first result. Take a look if you're interested in playing other classes.
1. Big guide to MvM for starters, a good read for starters or refreshing your memory. LINK
2. Scout guide. LINK
3. Soldier guide. LINK
4. Pyro guide. LINK
5. Demo guide. LINK
6. Heavy guide. LINK
7. Engineer guide. LINK
8. Medic guide. LINK
9. Sniper guide. LINK
10. Spy guide. LINK
Most of you guys know what the most important classes are here, but there are some few classes that can be replaced, if its in good hands and depending the map. (Soldier<->Sniper etc.)
- Steam Market
I really recommend watching the Steam Market for tour tickets. They sell sometimes for less then the TF2 store itself.

I enjoy MvM although I don't play it all that often. It's a nice team-based alternative to #1 and definitely much better with THG regs and friends, rather than randoms.
Would definitely be up for a few games! |

Well thanks for the positive reactions!
I will update the first post with your names! Eventually if we get more entries i'll come up with some sort of timetable to maybe plan out the MvM or something.
Its not a must to do it every time, we do it for fun of course!
I just think we can do more as a community to do stuff like this. |

I like cheese
Been trying to do the 2nd mission for ages but I can never find a server where the team is good enough (one of each class, right classes for the number of players). |

I've done a lot of MvM and always happy to do more.
Couple of things to note :-
1. One tour ticket (ie. your xmas freebee) is pretty pointless. Each tour is split into (usually) 4 parts and you need a ticket for EACH part. You are of course welcome to just do one part but your only rewards will be a few useless robo parts. Once you have completed an entire tour you get a shot at something better (killstreak/australium's/golden pan).
2. MvM can be jolly hard if you don't know what to do. Most people like to do the Advanced Tour - Two Cities, I strongly recommend doing the (free to play) Bootcamp a few times til you get the hang of things.
3. Some people can be really strict about class choice. You will hear a lot of talk about 'the meta'. This is 1x Engineer/Medic/Solly/Heavy/Demo/Scout. Its a good starting point with solid classes that can usually get the job done. Pyros/Spies/Snipers can be very strong but only if you are skilled and have good MvM knowledge.
4. To save everyone's frustration, read a little about your chosen class so you know what weapons to equip + what skills to buy. IE. Scout really should have Mad Milk + Fan of War + Movement skills. Engineer really needs dispenser range 3. Medic is all about your shield (learn how to use it - middle mouse button) etc.
5. Squad surplus tickets are almost entirely unnecessary and you are much better trading them for normal Tour of Duty Tickets. Basically a squad surplus just gives everyone a regular bonus weapon drop similar to the usual TF2 random item drop. |

I think most of the people here know the basics of MvM. Don't get me wrong, im not waving your advice away.
We can keep the "more basic classes" (heavy, soldier, engineer maybe) to the lesser known peepz and the more advanced classes (demo, medic) to the better people.
And we are doing this for fun. Don't forget that. So we give each other directions or give advice how to act better in-game. |
