I'm buying it, really impressed with the beta and can only see the game getting better as more content is added. | |

I'm half thinking about letting my 10yr old play unless we have rules against that. She has been asking for what seems like years to play on an online server. She is hugely responsible and wouldn't be any trouble to anyone. Only reservation i have is language. Do we have any swearers on the server? My girls giggle at 'fart', they think that's the height of bad language, we're in no rush to expose them to anything else. |

A small note about the campaign / contracts - It's pretty good profit if you can be bothered to do it. The campaign pass is £3.99 and that lasts 3 months. You get a lot of contracts in that time and the rewards each time are either a decorated weapon or a weapons case. These sell very well on the market, so much so that you are likely to make a profit from your very first contracts. IE. Weapons cases are selling for £5.10~ and rising fast. The downside is having to play on Valve's official servers but even the trickier contracts (ie. koth_Suijin - eww) only take 15-20 mins to do. |

I've done a lot of MvM and always happy to do more. Couple of things to note :- 1. One tour ticket (ie. your xmas freebee) is pretty pointless. Each tour is split into (usually) 4 parts and you need a ticket for EACH part. You are of course welcome to just do one part but your only rewards will be a few useless robo parts. Once you have completed an entire tour you get a shot at something better (killstreak/australium's/golden pan). 2. MvM can be jolly hard if you don't know what to do. Most people like to do the Advanced Tour - Two Cities, I strongly recommend doing the (free to play) Bootcamp a few times til you get the hang of things. 3. Some people can be really strict about class choice. You will hear a lot of talk about 'the meta'. This is 1x Engineer/Medic/Solly/Heavy/Demo/Scout. Its a good starting point with solid classes that can usually get the job done. Pyros/Spies/Snipers can be very strong but only if you are skilled and have good MvM knowledge. 4. To save everyone's frustration, read a little about your chosen class so you know what weapons to equip + what skills to buy. IE. Scout really should have Mad Milk + Fan of War + Movement skills. Engineer really needs dispenser range 3. Medic is all about your shield (learn how to use it - middle mouse button) etc. 5. Squad surplus tickets are almost entirely unnecessary and you are much better trading them for normal Tour of Duty Tickets. Basically a squad surplus just gives everyone a regular bonus weapon drop similar to the usual TF2 random item drop. |

Still stuck listening to the same songs I was 20+ years ago. One day I will play guitar 1/10th as good as John Squire (but probably not =/ ). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAXbxPVqZ2Q (kicks off @ 3mins for the impatient) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEcmKG1q9Ok |

Probably Rainbow Islands (man I was awesome at that game) or the Dizzy games (collected all of them as they came out, they were such a big deal at the time), both on the speccy. Closely followed by Diablo 1 / Doom / Quakeworld - the era when lugging your computer to friends houses for lan's was a cool thing to do and online play started to become a reality. Oh and DaoC (Dark Ages of Camelot). Purely because i met my now Wife in that game and deserves a mention for that. |

Hi there, welcome to the forums (and indeed the servers!) I'm always up for some poker, used to play quite a bit online until I cashed out to buy a new car. Still have accounts at 888, fulltilt and partypoker i believe. Which site is it you play on? We use Mumble, details should be on the front page here or somewhere on the forums. Been a bit quiet recently, I think partly due to wanting to keep in game voice active.. Anyway, put me down on the list. I would suggest a simple £5 SnG or something but that can be discussed later if there's anyone else interested. |
